Wall Repair In Massachusetts

When walls are damaged, cracked, or waterlogged, you need repairs that last—not quick patches that fail months later. MrWalls Drywall, proudly serving Chicopee and surrounding communities, provides professional wall repair services across Massachusetts. From modern drywall to historic plaster and lath, we restore strength, smoothness, and a clean finished look ready for paint we offer wall repair in Massachusetts

Our approach is simple: diagnose the cause, repair the structure correctly, and finish the surface so the repair disappears into the wall.

Repair of Holes in Drywall From an Electrician or Plumber

Electrical and plumbing upgrades often leave behind holes, channels, or access cuts in drywall. These openings may look minor, but improper patching can cause visible seams, cracking, or sagging over time.

MrWalls Drywall carefully evaluates each opening to ensure framing, wiring, and piping are properly secured before repairs begin. We then

  • Install solid backing where needed for long-term stability

  • Patch with the correct drywall thickness

  • Apply professional taping and joint compound

  • Sand and blend the repair seamlessly into the surrounding wall

The result is a smooth, durable surface that looks like the wall was never opened in the first place—perfect for repainting or finishing.

Wall Repair Plaster Cracking Separating From the Lath

Older Massachusetts homes often feature plaster walls supported by wooden lath. Over time, plaster can crack, sag, or pull away from the lath due to settling, vibration, or moisture.

Our plaster repair process focuses on preservation and strength:

  • Re-securing loose plaster to the lath when possible

  • Removing unstable material that can’t be saved

  • Reinforcing repaired areas to prevent future separation

  • Skim-coating for a smooth, uniform finish

We respect the character of older homes while ensuring walls are solid, safe, and visually flawless.

Repairing Holes in the Wall From Fists, Feet, and Door Knobs

Accidental impacts and everyday wear can leave dents, punctures, or large holes in drywall. Door knobs slamming into walls, furniture bumps, or accidental kicks can weaken the wall structure if not repaired correctly.

MrWalls Drywall handles all impact-related wall damage by:

  • Assessing the extent of internal drywall damage

  • Cutting out compromised sections cleanly

  • Installing new drywall patches with proper backing

  • Blending texture and finish to match existing walls

Whether the damage is cosmetic or structural, we restore your wall to a clean, professional finish.

Wall Repair Basement Flooded Bottom 2 Feet Cut Out Replaced

Basement flooding often damages drywall from the bottom up, requiring removal of the lower portion of the wall to prevent mold and structural issues. Simply drying the area is not enough—damaged drywall must be properly replaced.

Our basement wall repair service includes:

Once complete, your basement walls are safe, solid, and ready for paint or further finishing.

Our Services

Professional drywall and ceiling repair services near you, trusted for quality and care.

Drywall Repair

We fix cracks, holes, and nail pops and patch holes that are made from electricians or plumbers accessing the space behind the drywall. Our team specializes in delivering high-quality drywall repairs that not only restore the integrity of your surfaces but also enhance the overall appearance of your walls and ceilings. Whether we repair your ceilings or restore your walls we guarantee professional results, satisfaction, and your it will look like it never happened.

Drywall Installation

We take the time to install new drywall panels tight at the corners and seams, measuring and cutting the boards with precision to ensure a tight, secure, and lasting finish. Proper installation not only enhances the look and appeal but also contributes to the overall durability and how long the wall or ceiling lasts. We only use drywall screws, not nails, to eliminate nail pops. We take the time to measure accurately, cut precisely, and secure each panel firmly for the best quality job.

Popcorn Ceiling

Repair or remove popcorn ceilings to refresh your space, giving it a modern and stylish look that elevates the overall ambiance of your home. Whether you choose to fix the existing popcorn texture or completely remove them, we can handle it. If they are painted, we can sandwich drywall over the ceiling texture. The lowest cost option if the texture is painted is to skim coat or plaster over it with joint compound in multiple coats. The finished product is a nice flat, smooth surface that gets painted.

Painting

Once the joint compound is dry we sand all the edges where the compound meets the paper face, which feathers and blends it in together smoothly. If you have us paint, we brush and roll two coats of quality Sherwin-Williams paint over all walls and ceilings, making sure not to leave lines and leaving an even roller texture.

Plaster Repair

Plaster ceiling cracks are common. Older homes often have plaster that is sagging and delaminating from the lath. If left long enough, sections may fall off. While plaster is semi tough against water, leaking over time can deteriorate the cements that hold it together and leave holes. We can patch and repair plaster holes, cracks, and imperfections. If the plaster is bad enough, we offer to laminate new drywall sheets over the plaster, sandwiching the plaster to the lath and giving a strong, crack-free drywall finish.-

Drywall Finishing

Drywall taping and coating the seams, corners, butt joints, installing cornerbead on outside corners, and no-coat tape to corners over 90 degrees. We then second coat, covering the tape and filling joints, seams, and corners. The final finish coat is a thin, tight skim over all the wall and ceiling joints to fill any tiny holes or scratches and leave the surface smooth, flat, and feathered in.

Very Dependable and fair.
